Billy Strings

The 35th Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival had many highlights, most notably the omnipresence of the hottest talent on the Bluegrass circuit, Billy Strings.

However, one of the main "subplots" that many wondered about was the status of "The Grateful Ball" given the recent, sudden and tragic passing of mandolin genius and original Grateful Ball participant, Jeff Austin.

Jeff Austin's tremendous impact on our community will never be forgotten. So many family, friends, and music fans' lives were connected and inspired by Jeff, creating endless memories, both on the stage and off.

Today, Billy Strings has released his debut single “Taking Water” off the forthcoming album HOME (Rounder). Rolling Stone Country exclusively premiered

With just a few weeks until the gates open at the Newport Folk Festival, I find myself thinking about little else, at least musically. I go to a number of festivals and see a lot of shows, but it’s rare that a musical event can rob my attention well before it happens. It’s difficult to describe the festival to those who haven’t been; like anything magical, you really need to experience it for yourself to fully understand why it sells out instantly, without the fanfare of announcements and advertisements. In fact, the last ticket is sold long before the first artist is announced.

Now in its 35th year and in its 11th year at its current setting, Grey Fox has hosted virtually every notable luminary of the bluegrass, progressive string, and acoustic musical genres.

Superstar phenom Billy Strings returns as Artist-in-Residence, joining 40+ award-winning bluegrass acts including the Del McCoury Band, Leftover Salmon, Tommy Emmanuel and many more at the 2019 Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival from July 18-21.

Adding to its already stacked lineup featuring Railroad Earth, two sets of Billy Strings, Dave Bruzza: Unsafe at Any Speed, Keller Williams & The Keels, the Hoxeyville Music Festival today adds three national acts to join in the celebration in Wellston, MI August 16 -18. Held in the heart of the Manistee National Forest, the same home for the Camp Greensky Music Festival happening next weekend, Hoxeyville augments its 2019 billing by adding Leftover Salmon, Anders Osborne, and Go Rounds to the bill.

The Third Annual "Suwannee Spring Reunion” bluegrass music festival kicked off on Thursday, March, 21st in Live Oak, Florida. Located on the grounds of "The Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park" located in Northern Florida, between Tallahassee and Jacksonville, just south of the Georgia border.
