Daniel Donato

San Francisco, CA's ALO returned to New York City for the first time in three years, per guitarist Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz, and entertained multiple sit-ins at the iconic Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY. The special guests included bassist Reed Mathis, guitarist Daniel Donato and the opening band, the Honey Island Swamp Band.

The Billy and the Kids “Dead on the Water: Pier to Pier” concert series wrapped up on Friday night with their appearance at the rooftop venue Pier 17 in New York City.  Overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, Pier 17’s location has a rich history dating back to the Dutch West India Company in 1625, the venue and surrounding area underwent major reconstruction in the 2010s and reopened to the public in 2018.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitar virtuoso Daniel Donato is set to release his highly-anticipated sophomore album Reflector on November 10th via Retrace Music. Reflector is Donato’s first collection of all original material and a true representation of the continuously evolving musical space he has carved out for himself, which he calls cosmic country. Listen to his new track and album opener “Lose Your Mind” HERE.

When people first meet Daniel Donato, they’re not fully braced for this walking tornado of creative energy. “They think there’s something that tips the scale in ways they don’t understand,” says Donato about his over-the-top, slightly manic vibe. “But what actually tips the scale is the amount of thought and analysis I put into my work and art, all of which is taken from the lessons of my life.”
