Jack Casady is one of the most influential bassists of his generation.  He ranks among the Top 25 Bassists of all time says Bass Player Magazine and today his signature bass can be heard on tour with Paul McCartney, Jack White, the Stone Roses, and of course, Hot Tuna.

Much comes from their subtle sense of feeling, the nuances that make their playing continually dynamic whether as an acoustic duo or a vibrant electric band, adding drummer, Justin Guip.

For more than four decades, Hot Tuna, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, have played, toured, and recorded some of the best and most memorable acoustic and electric music ever.

Tedeschi Trucks Band has announced the third installment of their wildly popular Wheels of Soul Summer Tour. The 12-piece ensemble led by husband and wife Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks will be supported on all dates by longtime friends and collaborators Hot Tuna (Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady and drummer Justin Guip) and masters of soulful folk, The Wood Brothers. The tour is scheduled to hit many of the country’s premier outdoor venues on the most ambitious Wheels of Soul tour to date July 1 through 30, 2017.

While art will always be a progressive process and reflect the changes of the people in our evolving world, some things are best kept preserved. Music is the perfect example of this. Progressive Rock, Jazz Fusion, Post Punk, New Wave, an echo of the culture and climate that influenced these musicians.

Hot Tuna performs spontaneous, unfiltered music whether as an acoustic duo or as a solid power trio including drummer, Justin Guip. It’s unfathomable how Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady make each show its own experience, but they do ... and effortlessly!
