Folks checking out Turkuaz this week will find a slightly modified band: front-man, guitarist and co-founder Dave Brandwein has been sidelined with either a tendon or nerve issue that has affected his right hand since the band’s May 2 date at Howlin’ Wolf during New Orleans Jazz Fest. Turkuaz is bringing close friend and Dopapod keyboardist, Eli Winderman, in to fill out Turkuaz’s normally very big sound.

We had a successful KICKSTARTER campaign that raised us $1000 for travel expenses and we announced the Kickoff show of the Dos Garcia mini tour. It is Friday May 2 at The Ballroom at Outerspace in Hamden CT. The tour will continue to Coatesville, PA on May 3 at the Ragescape Music Festival and then on to Ardmore on May 4 at The Ardmore Music Hall.Xtra Ticket (featuring Dave A'Bear from Melvin Seals and JGB) & The Garcia Project are teaming up for a special run of shows in May!
