About Shakedown Street: One of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, Shakedown Street, makes its home in and around the Rocky Mountain region of North America. There may be no band that has been more critically analyzed song by song and show by show than Phish. Phish phans are some of the most attuned and astute musical analysts in the music scene. Since my first show in December of 1996 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia to my 197th show at the closing of this summer tour at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, I have seen and heard such vastly differing opinions about nearly every show.

Granted, selling out the Bowery is no small feat, and it was more than apparent that his fans knew exactly what kind of musical force of nature they were witnessing.

His new album, Turmoil & Tinfoil, taps into a deep vein of psychedelia in Americana, referencing everything from the Dead to Sturgill Simpson, but all underlaid by Billy’s undeniable virtuosity and his knowledge of the roots of American music.

Grateful Web recently spoke with Deborah Grabien of The Sound Field. The Brothers Comatose have always been known to do things by their own design, and a tour on horseback is certainly an expedition the band had to encounter first-hand. In mid-October 2016, the five members of The Brothers Comatose and a trusted crew of equine experts all saddled up for a three-show tour throughout California's gold country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.
