The Harlem Gospel Travelers announced their new album Look Up!, out September 16th via Colemine Records. Produced by acclaimed soul singer-songwriter Eli Paperboy Reed, Look Up! marks the group’s first full-length release as a trio, as well as their first collection of totally original material.

Colorado Springs-based outlaw alt-folk group Tejon Street Corner Thieves (TSCT) recently released their new album Thick As Thieves, and have now teamed up with members of Bridge City Sinners to record a version of "The Road" live in Portland, Oregon. The song sees TSCT, who are often the life of the party, getting introspective as they dance with their demons over a haunting fiddle melody.

Levitate Events’ High Ground Music & Arts Experience returns for its second year with an even more immersive offering of art, music, and nature that celebrates the beauty of Colorado outdoors. Following the success of the 18+ festival’s sold-out debut last year at Levitt Pavillion, High Ground Music & Arts Experience has expanded. 2022’s iteration of the independent festival will now take place over two days (September 10th - 11th) in its new home, Denver Polo Club.

Bay Area trio Rainbow Girls are currently on tour with revered singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco with upcoming California shows in Solana Beach and Los Angeles. In celebration of the appearances, they have released a new single, "Compassion to the Nth Degree," and an accompanying music video today. Telluride Bluegrass Festival has been a mainstay of festivals and produces a highly respected band contest. Winners in years past include Lil' Smokies, Dixie Chicks, Greensky Bluegrass, Trout Steak Revival, Ryan Shupe & The Rubber Band and many more notable acts.

Starfire beautifully captures a night of musical tribute to the passing of Greg Anton’s closest friend from childhood, Marty Levine, who in the 1990s created the Blue Star Cafe, a music venue in Hartford, Connecticut, which presented Anton (and Steve Kimock’s) band Zero as well as acts like Taj Mahal and the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

Three years in the making – thanks Covid for putting it on hold – The Hog Farm Hideaway, featuring two improvisational sets from The String Cheese Incident each night, passed its inaugural undertaking with flying colors, so to speak.

Rock behemoths Umphrey’s McGee descended upon the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado this Friday for their first of two shows, delivering an all-encompassing set of classics, new tunes, sit-ins and covers, including an emotional rendition of the Queen and David Bowie classic “Under Pressure” featuring the great Jennifer Hartswick of Trey Anastasio Band on vocals.
