Musicians have always had the perfect platform for speaking to the masses, and are perhaps the most strategically positioned for getting messages out to mankind. Singer/songwriter Martin Sexton is a tremendously talented performer and also one of the most conscious individuals on the music scene. Sexton spoke with us about the songs his new EP, the awakening of the American people, and the power of unity.

Jazz guitarist Todd Clouser is no stranger to the hustle. Some call his music jazz, some describe it more as rock and roll. Clouser’s style has strong roots in both genres, but will not be confined to either. Performances with his group A Love Electric run through 70s rock grooves, jazz improvisation and will often feature an alternate take on a Hendrix or a Nirvana cover.

Toubab Krewe has been blending West African and American musical styles since early 2005 and has carved out a solid niche for themselves on jam-band and festival circuits. The Krewe is in Colorado this week for a six night run through the Rocky Mountains, fresh from Jam Cruise 10.

On Tuesday, Boulder-based singer/songwriter Reed Foehl, former member of Acoustic Junction, took the time to speak with the Grateful Web.

Mike Dillon is a hardworking man of many hats. The songwriter, percussionist, vibraphonist and bandleader has a lengthy resume displaying a vast list of projects spanning genres of rock, punk, jazz, afro-funk and hip-hop. Dillon has played with Ani DiFranco, Karl Denson, Les Claypool, James Singleton and Ten Hands.
