Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment in association with the Illinois Blues Coalition is proud to announce the initial lineup for the 30th Annual Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival this Labor Day Weekend! The 2018 lineup will feature PBHFest veterans Buddy Guy, Robert Cray Band, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, as well as welcoming first time performers Ben Folds and Billy Strings. Billy Strings plays hard and he lives hard, picking so fast and intensely that he’s known to break multiple strings per song, and basing the songs he writes on the hard lives he grew up around in the abandoned rural communities of America. His new album, Turmoil & Tinfoil, taps into a deep vein of psychedelia in Americana, referencing everything from the Dead to Sturgill Simpson, but all underlaid by Billy’s undeniable virtuosity and his knowledge of the roots of American music.

This summer, the Granada Theater presents #LiveOnMass, a free, outdoor concert series on the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street in Lawrence, Kansas. Catch performances by The Wailers on Friday, June 29th and Split Lip Rayfield on Tuesday, July 3rd.

Cloud 9 Adventures announces the return of Strings & Sol, the annual bluegrass-centric tropical concert vacation, held at the beloved all-inclusive Now Sapphire and Dreams Resort & Spa in Puerto Morelos. Now entering its seventh year, the event will take place on the beautiful coastline in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico from December 7-11, 2018.

2018’s rendition of WinterWonderGrass lived up to its designation in every sense of the word this past weekend, as bluegrass fans from around the country gathered in majestic Steamboat Springs, Colorado to dance, drink and smiled the night away beneath the magnificent Park Range. The weekend more than lived up to expectation and hype, with incredible bluebird days and epic snow-covered nights, providing world-class skiing throughout the weekend and top-notch bluegrass to cap the night activities.

Marcus King and Billy Strings, two of the hottest names on today’s music scene, will join forces for a world-debut “King & Strings” set on May 25th at Rooster Walk, the festival announced today.

King will join Strings and his band for the duration of a late-night, 2-hour set at RW10, and iconic drummer Jeff Sipe will also sit in for the latter portion of the performance.
