Today, The No Ones share the official video for their new single “Straight Into The Bridge,” the second from their forthcoming debut album, The Great Lost No Ones Album, out March 27 on Yep Roc Records. The first visuals from the band is a B-movie-ette without a plot, but the song is typically direct and transparent — right? Buck’s guitar leads the charge and McCaughey’s vocal is perilously intelligible.

R.E.M. frontman and multimedia artist Michael Stipe will return to Moogfest this year to debut his new multimedia installation, Thibault Dance, the second in a series of audio-visual pieces created exclusively for the festival. Thibault Dance was shot by Stipe in New York City and features French dancer and researcher Thibault Lac, whose movements were then set to an original score created by Stipe.

Joseph Arthur and Peter Buck of R.E.M. fame will release their debut album, Arthur Buck, on June 15th, 2018 via New West Records. The 11-song set was produced by Joseph Arthur and mixed by Tchad Blake (U2, Pearl Jam, The Black Keys) with all of its songs co-written by the duo. The collaboration was established after the pair met up in Mexico near the end of 2017. They wrote eight songs in three days and on the fourth day, performed them for a handful of Baja locals near Buck’s home.

Join WHO KNEW™ Celebrates and bassist Mike Mills of R.E.M. for a special evening honoring the 25th anniversary of the band’s multi-Grammy Award winning album, Out of Time on Friday, Oct. 7 at City Winery. Doors open at 6 p.m. CST and the program begins at 7 p.m. CST.

All I heard on the streets of Seattle this summer was how great the Bumbershoot lineup looked and that this was one of the best years in recent memory. While 2014 marked only my second year at the music and arts festival that takes over Seattle Center on Labor Day weekend, when I compared this year’s lineup to last year’s impressive collection of artists, I couldn’t help but shake my head sadly.

As I said, I had gone back to camp earlier to make sure things were as secured as possible and to attach the tent to the car just in case I needed to sleep in there that night. Good thing I had.  I awoke about 4 a.m. to raging winds and wicked rain.  I seemed securely attached…for now. The wind was blowing so hard that my tent was beginning to lean sideways.
