Slightly Stoopid

San Diego, CA’s Slightly Stoopid has announced the dates for their 9th annual coast-to-coast summer tour. The Return Of The Red Eye Summer Tour will hit amphitheaters and pavilions throughout North America with SOJA announced as direct support for most dates. Zion I, The Grouch & Eligh and Fortunate Youth will also perform on select portions of the tour.

For over 20 years, the genre defying sounds of Slightly Stoopid have satisfied the West Coast and the world’s need for psychedelic, bluesy, soulful, rock with a heavy hint of island reggae. The bands newest album, Meanwhile… Back at the Lab finds its way to eclectic listeners at the end of June just days in advance of their summer tour, Everything is Awesome. Slightly Stoopid will take on the road and more than 40 cities with The Dirty Heads, The Expendables (select dates), and Stick Figure (select dates).

The Emerald Cup will make its highly anticipated return to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA on December 13th and 14th, 2014.

Blackwater Music Festival will make its second appearance Aug. 21-23 at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park & Campground (SOSMPC) in Live Oak, Fla. with a huge lineup of artists!

The end of summer is near and what better way to say goodbye to lazy days and ridiculous tan lines than at the 5th Annual North Coast Music Festival.  Bringing a melting pot of artists to the city of Chicago to play one last summer set, North Coast Music Festival is a splendid way to get your groove on while sweating your butt off in the late August sun.  Artists this year include Snoop Dogg (I thought it was Snoop Lion…eh… po-tay-to, po-tot-to), Washed Out, Future Islands, STS9, Bassnectar, Talib Kweli, Little Dragon, Slightly Stoopid and Dr.

Slightly Stoopid kick-started their Summer Sessions tour July 9 at Eugene's Cuthbert Amphitheater with a skanking, Rastafied set of dub-infected fusion.  The open-air venue, tucked along the banks of Oregon's Willamette River, provided a sparkling setting for a sun-splashed evening of righteous rhythms and knowing grins.
