Let me start by saying WOW, what a great weekend! I arrived Wanee Music Festival Thursday afternoon to catch Dumpstaphunk. Putting on a great set (as always) and getting everyone's energy up for the weekend. Someone I really enjoyed most (and have never seen before) Phil Lesh. Such a great two sets, both days--out of Phil.

Central Jazz is the revival of the Central City Jazz Festival, which ran continuously from 1976 through 1992 and is resurfacing on June 9th, 2018 with an unparalleled lineup. New Orleans natives Dumpstaphunk are making their way to California for a special New Year’s Eve run starting on Thursday, December 31 with special guests Monophonics in Crystal Bay, NV.  The band will continue the New Year's Day festivities on Friday, January 1 at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and finish off on Saturday, January 2 at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz.

It was another fun filled weekend of music in Denver, but I chose to be at the funkiest concert in town. This was the second night of this bill, and there were virtually no openers in this show. All three of these musical acts are headliners, which made this show a no brainer for me. I knew this show would be great because I have seen all of these bands several times, but never before like this. This was the best that I have seen all three of these acts perform. There was music at all times even between sets. I love the idea of a constant dance party without a lot of standing around.
