Dead & Company

A little house, a little blues, a little funk, a little rock, and a whole lot of soul blast through BoomBox.

Since first emerging in 2004, founder, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux has been quietly seasoning this simmering recipe to perfection. However, it reaches a boiling point on his forthcoming 2018 fifth album, Western Voodoo [Heart of Gold Records].

At the same time, the Muscle Shoals, AL native stays true to what attracted countless fans in the first place.

Hang on to your tie-dye!  Dead & Company is coming to town, and the Fox Theatre is throwing one hell of a party.  Grateful Web is thrilled to present, a three-day “Phantasmagorical Celebration” filled with Dead pre and after parties, July 12th—14th.  So, let’s paint our faces, don our fuzzy top hats and bizarre attire, and grab our luminescent rings and lighted balloons, because things are going to be hallucinated on the hill with visual delights as Bould

One of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, Shakedown Street, makes its home in and around the Rocky Mountain region of North America. Spawned from jam sessions at the Ancient Mariner bar in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 1987, Shakedown Street quickly grew in popularity, and garnered a legion of loyal fans who refer to themselves as "Shakeheads". In a few short years, throngs of "Shakeheads" could be found on the highways and byways of the Rocky Mountains, making their way to another Shakedown Street show.

March for Our Lives, the movement and organization started by high school students who survived the mass shooting in Parkland FL, will have a booth at every Dead & Co. show on the summer tour.

Dead & Company had to postpone the originally scheduled Fall Tour 2017 South Florida show Dec 8, 2017, when John Mayer needed an emergency appendectomy.  Monday, February 26, 2018, was the rescheduled show. They say timing is everything.  The show came on the heels of the Parkland school shooting tragedy. Coincidence for sure but Dead & Company brought their kindness and love to a community in need of healing through the universal language of music.

DEAD & COMPANY announces its 2018 tour, kicking off on Wednesday, May 30th in Mansfield, Massachusetts at the Xfinity Center and returning for two-night stands at iconic venues such as Citi Field in New York; Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin; Shoreline Amphitheatre in San Francisco, California; and Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado, while also adding new venues, including Los Angeles’ historic Dodger Stadium and Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, to the tour.

Did I say one? Better make it two. While Dead & Company trounced Dallas this past Friday with a meaty rocker of a show, Saturday night in Austin received a more deliberate performance befitting the band’s early era of improvised exploration. Which was better? Well, that depends on the opinion of the most opinionated fans in music. But we can all agree that for one weekend there was a seventh flag flying over Texas: the Freak Flag.

The Dead & Company concerts that were postponed due to John Mayer’s emergency appendectomy have been rescheduled for February 24th in New Orleans, February 26th in Ft. Lauderdale, and February 27th in Orlando. Tickets for the original shows will be honored at these newly announced 2018 dates.  Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase.
