April 2019

Rupa and the April Fishes’ new album, Growing Upward, is music for the movements of our time (release: April 19 on Electric Gumbo Radio Music). Anthems of resilience, spitfire commentary, and collaborations with indigenous artists make up an album that resounds with joy, love, and transformation.

Americana rock outfit Earnhardt present their debut eponymous album. This collection is comprised of 9 tracks, built to stand as a showcase of the band's diversity and a culmination of their labors. It will be released on vinyl on June 14 as a limited edition of 250 copies.

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Patrick Park returns today with a new full-length, Here/Gone. For Here/Gone, Park tapped producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Kurt Vile, Elliott Smith) for the first time since 2007's acclaimed Everyone's in Everyone, and the pair distilled Park’s introspective folk songs to classic voice and guitar combinations highlighted with string arrangements by Bobby Halvorson (Van Dyke Parks)l.

We're pleased to announce that techno originator Juan Atkins has joined the Moogfest lineup tonight to replace Thomas Dolby, who unfortunately fell ill yesterday and had to cancel his highly anticipated appearances. We wish Thomas godspeed toward his complete recovery.

Juan will perform in Thomas's previously scheduled slot at the Carolina Theatre, 8:00 to 9:15 p.m. before GAS. We're looking forward to this formidable one-two punch of techno masters.
