September 2019

The second day of KAABOO Del Mar Festival 2019 began bright and early and quickly heated up in more ways than one. An unusually humid San Diego day enveloped the Del Mar fairgrounds as thousands of music fan beat to stream into the venue. A rock-laden line up greeted them with blazing guitars and thumping rhythms. Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes played a searing early afternoon set in much the same vein as Little Steven did the day before.

Today the Earl Scruggs Center and WNCW are proud to announce the inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival, coming September 4-5, 2020 to Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC. Celebrating the legacy of an American music legend, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival will bring together artists from bluegrass, Americana, blues, and many other roots music genres to celebrate the pioneering vision of Earl Scruggs. Few other artists in American history have had such an impact as Scruggs.

Steve Kimock and his adept friends delighted NYC with an early Friday night performance in the West Village at Le Poisson Rouge, featuring plenty of his signature guitar brilliance. Fresh off the release of new track “While We Wait,” Kimock is currently wrapping up a short, but sweet east coast fall tour. Tonight’s show included a memorial dedication for the recently departed Robert Hunter, and a special birthday shout out for one of the band members.
