Throughout the tour, expect a killer set list with Stray Cats gems like "Rock This Town,'" "Rumble In Brighton" and "Stray Cat Strut" plus other electrifying songs like "Let's Shake" from his latest solo studio album Rockabilly Riot!: All Original. SETZER's red hot compadres for the "ROCKABILLY RIOT!" Summer Tour are Noah Levy on drums, Kevin McKendree on piano/guitar and Mark Winchester on bass.

"When you look up rockabilly in the dictionary there is a picture of Mark Winchester," notes SETZER. "He grew up slapping the bass and is in a class of his own.  The relationship with the drummer and the bass player in rockabilly is very unique. The slap bass is a rhythmic sounding instrument, so the drummer has to be very in time with him in order not to sound sloppy.  Noah Levy is a very on-the-beat solid drummer, whereas me, as a guitar player, I push everything while they hold it all in place.  And when you're talking about the great rockabilly piano players, it's a very short list, and Kevin McKendree is on it. And he also plays guitar incredibly well. We all just complement each other."

Asked what he'd like to overhear fans saying after a gig, SETZER says: "I would love to hear, 'You know, that Rockabilly Riot squad has all the energy and great things I like about the original rockabilly sound, yet they're a modern band making this music sound new."

Following a year-long successful solo tour, iconic vocalist ANN WILSON of HEART is spending the early part of 2018 recording her new solo release and debut album for BMG.  Due out this summer (exact release date TBA) and with a working title of SONGS FOR THE LIVING: VOL. 1, ANN has teamed with original Heart producer Mike Flicker (Dreamboat Annie, Magazine, Little Queen, Dog and Butterfly and Bebe Le Strange, among others) for an album that will pay homage to musicians lost in the past few years.

"It's a project very dear to me--a collection of songs by artists who have departed in the last several years including Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Chris Cornell and Amy Winehouse to name a few," ANN explains. "I feel these souls have made a real, lasting contribution to the art of the popular song and to honor them is my deepest pleasure."

The album will feature some of the singer's favorite musicians, with the full track list to be announced in the coming weeks.  With the recording still in progress in Los Angeles, the first three songs confirmed are Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me," Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black," and The Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane" in honor of Glenn Frey.

"Once again I am pushing my limits as a singer and it is thrilling work," ANN says.  "It's my way of showing gratitude for these amazing expressions in words and music. This record was made in the old school way...on an actual tape recorder, so the sound is vibrant, present and powerful. This sound will not just massage the listener's ego, it will stoke their heart and soul."

Following a handful of solo headlining tour dates this spring, WILSON will join Jeff Beck and Paul Rodgers for the "Stars Align Tour," as the album is released. Kicking off July 18 in West Valley City, Utah, the tour stops in 19 cities across the U.S. and Canada including Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Toronto and Nashville, before wrapping August 26 in Tampa.  At these upcoming shows, ANN's fans can expect to hear an assortment of Heart hits, along with tracks from her solo career.

The year 2018 marks half a century since the formation of the legendary group YES, one of the biggest bands in prog rock history and true pioneers of the genre. To celebrate the milestone, YES--Steve Howe (guitar since 1970), Alan White (drums since 1972), Geoff Downes (keyboards; first joined in 1980), Jon Davison (vocals since 2011) and Billy Sherwood (guitar/keyboards in the 1990s and the late Chris Squire's choice to take over bass/vocals in 2015)--will embark on a 50th Anniversary North American summer tour, on the heels of a European outing which kicks off tonight (March 13) in the UK.

Beginning June 2018, the cross-country trek will bring the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees to such markets as Philadelphia, New York and Seattle, among many others. Look for the official details and dates to be revealed next week.

In other news, on March 25, YES will release Fly From Here - Return Trip, a new version of their album, Fly From Here, featuring the Drama lineup and new lead vocals by Trevor Horn. The original 2011 release of the album featured the late Chris Squire, Howe, White and Downes, with Benoit David on lead vocals and Horn as producer. In addition to featuring Horn on lead vocals and remixed parts, Fly From Here - Return Trip--a labor of love for all involved, recorded over the last two years following Horn's guest appearance with YES at London's Royal Albert Hall in 2016--also contains a previously unreleased song, "Don't Take No For an Answer," recorded in 2011 featuring Howe on lead vocals, and the full-length version of "Hour of Need," previously only available as a Japanese bonus track. THE SHEEPDOGS--the Canadian-based five-piece guitar-driven rock band--have released a humorous dive bar performance-themed video (think Patrick Swayze’s Road House) for the song “Nobody,” off their new album CHANGING COLOURS. “Coming up as a band, we booked a lot of shows that were us playing at the wrong bar,” says the band’s bassist Ryan Gullen. “Playing these shows, everyone in the band wants to kill each other. Now we finally got our chance and I got to make it a reality. We shot the video at a bar called the Commercial Tavern in Maryhill, ON, one of the oldest still active country roadhouses in Canada.”'

THE SHEEPDOGS’ vocalist/guitarist Ewan Currie adds: “It’s my favorite song on the record and just all around represents what rock ‘n roll is all about. It's been a longtime dream of mine to make a video where we just beat the tar out of each other for a music video. Ryan was able to make it a reality.”

CHANGING COLOURS--released digitally February 2 via Dine Alone Records (in the U.S.) and Warner Music (in Canada)--marks the sixth full-length album release for the four-time JUNO Award-winning group who graced the cover of Rolling Stone in 2011 when they made history as the first unsigned band to appear on the cover of the famed magazine by beating out 15 other artists in the Choose the Cover contest (Issue 1137). For CHANGING COLOURS, the band expanded their sound, encompassing more styles and hues to enhance their trademark beef-and-boogie twin-axe riffs, hooks, shuffles and long-haired aesthetic. YES, one of the biggest bands in prog rock history and true pioneers of the genre, today (March 26) revealed the dates and details for this summer's 50th Anniversary North American tour titled #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES. Tickets for the 30-plus date outing, which kicks off June 5 and 6 with a two-night engagement at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL, will go on sale to the public beginning this Friday, March 30 or Saturday, March 31, with select shows going on sale in early April. OHANA FESTIVAL will once again return to beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA for a third year this September with performances from Eric Church, Eddie Vedder, Mumford & Sons, Beck, Norah Jones, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amos Lee, Liz Phair and many others (full line-up below). The acclaimed three-day festival--set for Friday, September 28, Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30--celebrates some of the top singers, songwriters and musicians, taking place just steps away from the sands of one of Southern California's most iconic beaches.

After a successful launch in 2016 OHANA returned in 2017 as an expanded three-day event with more than 35,000 attendees. In the "Ohana" tradition of family, the grassy festival site is dotted with blankets and fans enjoying a weekend of music, food and activities.

As YES gear up for their North American summer tour celebrating the band's landmark Golden Anniversary, the prog rock pioneers have started to reveal exciting plans in store for the year, including special tour guests, five-album vinyl set and a U.S. fan convention. Their 50th Anniversary not only celebrates the musical contributions of YES but also embraces their intellectual and sophisticated fan base who have been an integral part of the band's journey.

To start, it has been announced that founding member/Grammy winner/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Tony Kaye (keyboards; 1968-1971 and 1983-1995) will be joining Steve Howe (guitar since 1970), Alan White (drums since 1972), Geoff Downes (keyboards; first joined in 1980), Jon Davison (vocals since 2011) and Billy Sherwood (guitar/keyboards in the 1990s and the late Chris Squire's choice to take over bass/vocals in 2015) as a special guest for this summer's entire 35-date tour, billed as #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES.

The #YES50 cross-country "Evening with YES" trek kicks off June 5 and 6 with a two-night engagement at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL and will take the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees to Kansas City, Denver, Los Angeles (June 19 at the Ford Theater), San Jose, Detroit, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Boston, Staten Island, Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Orlando, among many other cities, before wrapping July 28 in Atlanta. In addition, famed artist Roger Dean, who has designed countless album covers and logos licensed exclusively for YES, will be appearing at select dates throughout the tour, showcasing special tour prints at the merch table. Among the prints on sale during the tour will be the remaining few of a special limited edition of "Relayer," plus other classic YES designs and logos.

While the band is in Philadelphia for back-to-back shows at The Fillmore, the YesFanFest - 50 True Summers U.S. fan convention is set to take place Saturday, July 21 at The Foundry. Various YES alumni, including Patrick Moraz and Tom Brislin, will be performing at the event, which will also include a Q&A with YES, among other activities.

On June 29, Warner Music will release YES: The Steven Wilson Remixes, a five-album vinyl set featuring Steven Wilson's remixes of five classic YES studio albums: The Yes Album (1971), Fragile (1971), Close To The Edge (1972), the double album Tales From Topographic Oceans (1973) and Relayer (1974). Each album features remixed audio by Steven Wilson, released on vinyl for the first time, and artwork created specifically for the set by Roger Dean, with new cover art for Close To The Edge and Tales From Topographic Oceans and reworked art by Dean for the remaining three covers.

Additionally, YES recently issued Fly From Here - Return Trip, a new version of their 2011 album Fly From Here featuring the Drama lineup and new lead vocals by Trevor Horn. Released March 25, Fly From Here - Return Trip--available from Pledge Music (here)--contains a previously unreleased song, "Don't Take No For An Answer," recorded in 2011 featuring Steve Howe on lead vocals, and the full-length version of "Hour of Need," previously only available as a Japanese bonus track. Fly From Here - Return Trip is a long-awaited treat for all YES fans and, following Chris Squire's passing in 2015, represents the last chance for fans to hear a follow-up to the classic YES release Drama.

Tony Lewis from The Outfield has officially announced Friday, June 29 as the release date for his first solo album, OUT OF THE DARKNESS, via Madison Records. The new 12-track album, written and recorded by LEWIS over the past two years, is his first for the Atlanta-based label and features the debut single “Into the Light,” hitting radio and all digital music platforms May 18. OUT OF THE DARKNESS takes on the spirit of The Outfield, the ’80s rock group he founded with the late John Spinks, while letting TONY’s own style shine through. TONY produced and recorded everything on his own for the new album, in addition to playing all the instruments.

Following the 2014 passing of his longtime friend and collaborator, LEWIS took a break from music but the London-based musician, songwriter and record producer couldn’t stay away for long as music is too ingrained in his life. He had always written and recorded solo work and, with the help and love of his wife Carol, found his inspiration again to create OUT OF THE DARKNESS, his first official solo project.

“I spent three years away from music, thinking about whether I still had something to contribute to the music industry, but I started to miss recording and singing. I felt it was something I had to do,” says LEWIS. Of the album’s title, he adds, “It is taken from a song on the album, ‘Into the Light,’ and sums up my journey through the transition of loss and knowing that whatever happens, I am lucky to have a loving and supportive family.”

In support of the album’s release, LEWIS will be hitting the road this summer on the Retro Futura Tour, alongside Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Modern English, Kajagoogoo’s Limahl and Bow Wow Wow’s Annabella. MAMBY ON THE BEACH, Chicago's only beachside summer music festival, is proud to announce the full artist lineup for its fourth annual installment! The two-day boutique festival takes place Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th, on the grassy fields and sand-swept coastline of Oakwood Beach in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood.

Backed by a stunning view of Chicago's skyline and the shimmering waters of Lake Michigan, the Beach Stage showcases the best in indie, electronic, and hip-hop. Headlining is hometown hip-hop icon COMMON and one of the hottest rising stars in the game, RUSS. Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION has released their new self-titled full-length studio album today (5/18) via their own label, Three Prong Records. Prog rock pioneers YES have revealed more exciting plans for their official 50th Anniversary celebration #YES50 by announcing that former member Trevor Horn will sit in with the band during their special two-night stand at The Fillmore in Philadelphia July 20 and 21. In addition, Horn is set to participate in the YesFanFest - 50 True Summers U.S. fan convention taking place Saturday, July 21 at The Foundry in Philadelphia, where he'll join the current members of YES and other alumni, including keyboardists Patrick Moraz and Tom Brislin, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the band's dedicated fan base. Famed artist Roger Dean, who's designed countless album covers and logos licensed exclusively for YES, will also take part in the fan convention.

Horn previously sang lead vocals on the band's 1980 album Drama and produced their albums 90125 (1983) and Big Generator (1987) along with 2011's Fly From Here. Earlier this year, YES issued Fly From Here - Return Trip, a new version of the album featuring lead vocals by Horn. Released March 25, Fly From Here - Return Trip--available from Pledge Music (here)--also contains a previously unreleased song, "Don't Take No For An Answer," recorded in 2011 featuring Steve Howe on lead vocals, and the full-length version of "Hour of Need," previously only available as a Japanese bonus track. "It's a lot about the systems in place in the world," Rich Robinson told Billboard.com's Gary Graff of "For The Wind," which was written by Robinson and John Hogg. Produced by Rich Robinson and recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville, TN, the 12-song HIGH WATER I represents a musical union of swaggering rock 'n' roll, psychedelic blues, and campfire-worthy storytelling that first took flight in 2016 when Robinson assembled the band for a now seminal Woodstock gig. The group went on to sell out four consecutive nights at The Gramercy in New York City in January 2017 chronicled with a historic Guitar Player cover featuring the two six-stringers. By the top of 2018, the band delivered a total of 77 seismic sets worldwide comprised of a 170-song repertoire of covers, Black Crowes' tunes, and solo material. Both artists recently released new studio albums which garnered an abundance of critical praise. DOUGLAS, the 14-time Grammy Award-winner, released his WHAT IF album (August, 2017) via Rounder Records, earning accolades from Rolling Stone, which said, "even after 14 Grammys, Jerry Douglas is still exploring unlikely musical pairings, as evidenced by the soul-and bluegrass-melding rendition of 'Hey Joe...' (8/4/17). American Songwriter backed up the sentiment with Hal Horowitz boasting, "What If is a new beginning...it's a freewheeling, musically sprawling set, perhaps more jazz and rock oriented than most would expect. Douglas writes most of the material yet works up innovative, substantially rearranged versions of 'Hey Joe,' best known by Hendrix's cover but here given a caffeinated backwoods workup, and Tom Waits' '2:19.' The album's centerpiece is its title track, a pensive progressive jazz/bluegrass fusion instrumental that allows the members to stretch out and shows both their creativity and talent" (8/16/18).

A BOWIE CELEBRATION: The David Bowie Alumni Tour featuring Mike Garson and fellow key alumni musicians of David Bowie's bands from across the decades has announced a 32-date North American winter tour for 2019.

A BOWIE CELEBRATION features alumni band members Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Gerry Leonard and Carmine Rojas along with world-class vocalists such as Bernard Fowler and Corey Glover, among others, and drummer Lee John performing a mix of Bowie's hits and deep-cuts. Pre-sale tickets for the newly announced shows are available starting tomorrow (Tuesday, September 11) through Thursday, September 13 with the general on-sale commencing this Friday, September 14 at 10am local time.

Kicking off February 6 in Mesa, AZ, A BOWIE CELEBRATION then stops in Los Angeles February 7 at the Orpheum Theatre before making its way across the country and into Canada. The critically acclaimed show will stop in San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York City (March 5 at Irving Plaza), Philadelphia, Louisville, Nashville, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, and Austin, among many other cities, before wrapping March 22 in Dallas. Keyboardist and band leader Mike Garson, the longest-standing member of Bowie's bands, performed with David at his first and last concerts in the United States as well as 1,000 concerts together around the globe in between. The band also features legendary guitarist Earl Slick, who worked on landmark Bowie albums such as Diamond Dogs, Young Americans and Reality; Bowie guitarist and band leader Gerry Leonard (A Reality Tour); and Bowie's Let's Dance/Serious Moonlight Tour bassist Carmine Rojas. Between them, they have over 30 years experience of recording, writing and playing live with Bowie.

Prior to the 2019 full trek, which includes a 17-date European tour from January 9 through February 1, A BOWIE CELEBRATION has a limited run of West Coast tour dates taking place this month, September 26-30, stopping in Ventura, Riverside, San Diego, Reno and Saratoga. The San Diego show will feature Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress ("Westworld") and singer (Rebel and A Basketcase) Evan Rachel Wood re-joining the all-star band to sing a variety of songs. Wood sat in earlier this year at the Los Angeles and Atlanta shows and was seen on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in April raving about the tour. As Wood explained to Fallon, "It's not a cover band, it's the band! It's the actual band, so when you're there it sounds as close as you're going to get to Bowie." Other special guests who joined the 2018 run included Perry Farrell, Joe Sumner, Fantastic Negrito, Mark Plati, Mr Hudson, David Liebman, Gaby Moreno and Sass Jordan.

Beyond classics and unearthed rarities from the vault, the collection notably remains highlighted by two brand new recordings. "Herbalizer" enchants and entrances with its wondrously warm production as the previously released "Coachella Opening" transports audiences into the front row of his most recent Electronica World Tour-which fittingly launched with the icon's first-ever Coachella performance.

However, PLANET JARRE only set the stage for further innovation of the Godfather or Electronic Music. On November 16, 2018, JARRE unveils EQUINOXE INFINITY (Astralwerks)--the long-awaited sequel to his landmark fourth album, ÉQUINOXE. The first ÉQUINOXE notably arrived forty years prior to the date on November 16, 1978 and since remained essential listening for music aficionados. The idea behind this brand-new album is very much driven by humanity using new technologies such as artificial intelligence and what will become of human mankind by doing so.

The third annual OHANA festival, which concluded Sunday night (9/30) and which saw more than 40,000 attendees at the beautiful Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA, was described by the Orange County Register as being "filled with surprises." In fact, "...the three-day event curated by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder" (Orange County Register, 9-27-18) was led by powerful headlining sets from Eric Church (special acoustic set), Eddie Vedder and Mumford & Sons; a mix of standout collaborations throughout the weekend; while also celebrating emerging talent with performances from Plague Vendor, Fantastic Negrito, The War + Treaty, and Pow Pow Family Band, among others.

Vedder fittingly kicked off Friday's performances with a cover of the Beatles' "Here Comes The Sun." On Saturday, he treated early festival attendees to an acoustic version of Pearl Jam's "Porch" (which was also in his main stage set). Vedder showed up throughout the festival joining the John Doe Folk Trio (X's "The New World") on Friday, Johnny Marr (The Smiths' "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out") on Saturday and closing out the weekend by appearing with Mumford & Sons on Sunday for a rocking version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower." In addition, during his Saturday headlining set, Vedder was joined by Liz Phair on Pearl Jam's "Better Man"; later in the set he was accompanied musically and vocally by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Scott Thurston on three songs ("Wildflowers," "Room At The Top," and "I Won't Back Down") in tribute to his friend.

Just before the festival's launch, Vedder discussed OHANA's musical camaraderie by saying that "it's been a true honor to work with the community and organizers to create a stimulating vibe and uplifting atmosphere for the great crowds and incredible musicians who come out to play in the park. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE has postponed two additional shows following further consultations with his doctors at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, who have advised that he take a few extra days to recover.

The two shows, Tuesday, October 9 at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista and Thursday, October 11 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, will be rescheduled as follows: Monday, October 15 in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl and Thursday, October 18 in Chula Vista (San Diego) at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre. In addition, the Mountain View, CA show at Shoreline Amphitheatre, which was previously rescheduled for Tuesday, October 16, has been moved to Saturday, October 20.

OZZY's North American "NO MORE TOURS 2," produced by Live Nation will resume in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 13 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Stone Sour will perform at the Las Vegas show, with support for the three rescheduled shows TBA. The song sounds like monumental electronic ecstasy, where new ways of sound editing meet the pulse of the past. The Mellotron - one of the oldest electromechanical instruments - gives it an air of futuristic nostalgia.

Says JARRE, "I love oxymorons, made of two opposing words, two opposite feelings. This track is a mirror of that. I use the Mellotron a lot in this piece, such a great instrument, a mechanical device but with a human quality VR eating sounds like some audio remains of the past. I recorded this track only once, I did everything - the melody and the rhythm-track - in one go. I love the idea that technology can provide emotion, even though technology is not linked to the notion that it can actually provide emotion. Robots or Artificial Intelligence are just machines without any contradicting emotions so far. They might not be able to work as efficiently should they have emotions. But who knows, one day maybe, Robots will experience nostalgia."

EQUINOXE INFINITY is the long-awaited sequel to JARRE's landmark fourth album, ÉQUINOXE. The first ÉQUINOXE notably arrived forty years prior to the date on November 16, 1978 and since remained essential listening for electronic music aficionados. The idea behind this brand-new album is very much driven by humanity using new technologies such as artificial intelligence and what will become of human mankind by doing so.

Following up on the announcement that live music's premier hologram production company Eyellusion has signed with APA for representation worldwide for their tours, the ZAPPA FAMILY TRUST can now share the exclusive promotional video (which includes audio of Frank Zappa speaking about Holograms) for the "The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa" tour.

Set to launch in 2019 (exact details are TBA), "The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa" will include longtime and legendary Zappa players Ray White, Mike Keneally, Scott Thunes, Robert Martin and Ed Mann with Joe "Vaultmeister" Travers; they'll be joined along the way by Steve Vai, Ian Underwood, Lady Bianca, Napoleon Murphy Brock and Arthur Barrow.   Hours of never-before-seen (or heard) Zappa performance footage from the early seventies form the basis of the "can't miss" concert spectacle.

Q: How you do feel about working through the holidays?

OZZY: "I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO WORK THROUGH CHRISTMAS--IT'S A GOOD START TO THE NEW YEAR. OZZFEST AT THE FORUM, NEW YEAR'S EVE, WITH US, TWO STAGES WITH MANSON, ROB ZOMBIE, ZAKK SABBATH, ICE T, A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT PEOPLE."

Q: This year's line-up features a lot of Ozzfest alumni.

OZZY: "YEAH, THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF IT, IT'S KIND OF LIKE THE ALL-STARS OF OZZFEST. THAT'S ONE THING I'M REALLY PROUD OF BECAUSE OF HOW THIS ALL STARTED. MANY YEARS AGO WHEN WE TRIED TO GO ON LOLLAPALOOZA AND THEY SAID WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR OZZY AND THIS KIND OF MUSIC. SO, WE TOOK A CHANCE AND DID IT ALL OUR OWN AND IT TOOK OFF. Q: There seems to be a real camaraderie among the hard rock world.

OZZY: "YOU KNOW PEOPLE LOOK AT HEAVY METAL GUYS AND THEY THINK 'OH, THEY'RE BAD PEOPLE.' BUT WE'RE REALLY NOT. I MEAN, IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS, I'LL GET PHONE CALLS 'ARE YOU OKAY? DO YOU NEED ANY HELP?' THIS GOES BACK YEARS TO EVEN WHEN RANDY GOT KILLED. I RECENTLY CONTACTED JONATHAN [DAVIS] AFTER HIS WIFE PASSED AWAY, IT MEANS A LOT TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER."

Q: Let's talk a little bit about Zakk and what it's like having him back out with you. On OZZFEST, he'll be pulling double-duty, performing on the second stage with Zakk Sabbath and then with you for the final set of the night.

OZZY: "IT'S GOOD TO HAVE HIM BACK. ZAKK'S LIKE A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY AND IT'S A JOY TO WORK WITH HIM NOW THAT WE'RE BOTH SOBER. YOU KNOW, HE'S THE LONGEST PLAYER--GUITAR PLAYER--I'VE EVER HAD BOTH WITH SABBATH AND MY SOLO GIG.'

Q: What are you looking forward to with Ozzfest this year?

OZZY: "I WANNA GIVE THEM A GREAT SHOW, I WANNA HAVE FUN. I MEAN, I'M BRINGING THE NEW YEAR IN WITH A BIG BANG!"

Q: And you'll be onstage when the New Year rings in?

OZZY: "YEAH. I GOT TO TIME IT, BECAUSE WHEN YOU REHEARSE, YOU KNOW, I'LL PLAY THROUGH SONGS. BUT THEN WHEN YOU GO ON STAGE, YOU START TO JUST GO WITH IT. WE'VE GOT TO TIME IT SO WE CAN STOP FOR THE COUNTDOWN."

Set for Monday, December 31 at The Forum in Los Angeles, OZZFEST will kick off 10 hours of live music at 2:30 PM with sets from Zakk Sabbath, Devildriver and Wednesday 13 on the outdoor stage. Everything shifts indoors at 6:00 PM, where OZZFEST alumni Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and Jonathan Davis (of Korn) and Body Count featuring Ice-T (in their OZZFEST debut) will take the stage. The night will conclude with a performance from festival namesake OZZY OSBOURNE, who will count down to the new year!

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE has been forced to postpone the entire UK and European leg of his "NO MORE TOURS 2" tour on doctors' orders.

This follows yesterday's (January 28) announcement that OSBOURNE was postponing the first four dates of the tour because of the flu. After seeing his physician again, OSBOURNE has been diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection which the doctor feels could develop into pneumonia given the physicality of the live performances and an extensive travel schedule throughout Europe in harsh winter conditions.

"I'm completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour. It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to shit. First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis. I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It's being rescheduled right now to start in September.   Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy."

Live music's premier hologram production company Eyellusion has announced that a who's who of ZAPPA fan favorite musicians will support "The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa" hologram tour which will make its debut this April in the U.S. The nine U.S. shows kick off Friday, April 19, with seven European shows in May to follow. Now in its fourth consecutive year, OHANA has become known for its unexpected collaborations.  Last year (2018), Vedder showed up throughout the festival joining the John Doe Folk Trio (X's "The New World") on Friday, Johnny Marr (The Smiths' "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out") on Saturday and closing out the weekend by appearing with Mumford & Sons on Sunday for a rocking version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower."  In addition, during his Saturday headlining set, Vedder was joined by Liz Phair on Pearl Jam's "Better Man"; later in the set he was accompanied musically and vocally by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Scott Thurston on three songs ("Wildflowers," "Room At The Top," and "I Won't Back Down") in tribute to his friend.

As VEDDER explained in a Q&A in advance of last year's event, "It's been a true honor to work with the community and organizers to create a stimulating vibe and uplifting atmosphere for the great crowds and incredible musicians who come out to play in the park.  To have the Pixies, X, Mudhoney, Jack Johnson, etc., etc, etc. play your festival has been so satisfying.  Far beyond our initial vision for it all.

"Seeing Fiona Apple play a truly joyful set in the sun, I know I'll never forget that.  Being there while Lana Del Rey and Chan Marshall (Cat Power), hung out for the first time.  (Lana, who is singing on Cat Power's new single.  When you get to witness that and know you've had a small part in that, there's definitely a healthy sense of pride you can glean from that.

The STRAY CATS recorded 40 at Blackbird Studios in Nashville in late 2018 following their first North American shows in 10 years, with four concerts including sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA before wildly enthusiastic audiences. Still buzzing from the thrill of playing together again and the crowd response, they went into the studio with producer Peter Collins (Rush, Bon Jovi, The Brian Setzer Orchestra) and engineer Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Arctic Monkeys). Brian Setzer: "You have to understand how unique the Stray Cats are. It's me playing an old hollow body guitar, Slim Jim playing two or three drums, and Lee Rocker slapping a stand-up acoustic bass. I get to write new songs and then play them with my buddies. Somehow we created a new and exciting sound with this simple idea. And you know what? A lot of people agree!"

Lee Rocker: "This new album really feels like the first record we did, it's really natural and comfortable. For the recording, we went live--like doing a gig, we recorded in a real, organic way. We were all in one room standing next to each other recording live, with the amps turned up to 10, it captured the undefinable things that happen when a band is great, it captured the magic that takes place and an undefined spark."

Slim Jim Phantom: "We're very, very focused when we get into the studio, it didn't feel like a long time had passed since we had done this, it felt very natural and familiar. We were all in a row with everyone watching each other, so it felt like a gig in the set-up. We really embraced that a little bit for the album, it's like an old way of making records. The modern is meeting the vintage, which has always been our inspiration."

SETZER's rockin' style and guitar assault always leave audiences smiling, and his red hot compadres are Noah Levy on drums, Kevin McKendree on piano/guitar and Mark Winchester on bass. They'll be jumping into the most electrifying songs from Brian's 40-year career as a solo artist and as a Stray Cat. "When you look up rockabilly in the dictionary there is a picture of Mark Winchester," notes SETZER. "He grew up slapping the bass and is in a class of his own.  The relationship with the drummer and the bass player in rockabilly is very unique. The slap bass is a rhythmic sounding instrument, so the drummer has to be very in time with him in order not to sound sloppy. Noah Levy is a very on-the-beat solid drummer, whereas me, as a guitar player, I push everything while they hold it all in place.  And when you're talking about the great rockabilly piano players, it's a very short list, and Kevin McKendree is on it. And he also plays guitar incredibly well. We all just complement each other."

Asked what he'd like to overhear fans saying after a gig, SETZER says: "I would love to hear, 'You know, that Rockabilly Riot squad has all the energy and great things I like about the original rockabilly sound, yet they're a modern band making this music sound new."

U.S. DATES FOR THE "ROCKABILLY RIOT!" 2019 SUMMER TOUR:

RICKIE LEE JONES is that rare musician who has transcended the singer/songwriter mantle by incorporating different radio genres from the get-go and she continues that tradition on the forthcoming album KICKS, her newest collection of songs from the great American songbook. Due out June 7, the album spans two decades (50s-70s) of pop, rock and jazz, presenting her unique and sophisticated interpretations of these songs.

Miss Jones' own label, OSOD (other side of desire), will release KICKS with Thirty Tigers distributing. The past decade has seen her team up with manager Ron Stone (Nirvana, Bonnie Raitt, among others) and her team is innovating a new fund-raising campaign to promote this project. A pre order of the self-released album is available here, along with a variety of official KICKS merchandise including t-shirts, posters, totes and other items.

It is fitting that one of the American treasures of songwriters should be comfortable with this diverse collection of the great songwriters of the 20th century--she is one of them. On KICKS, she brings emotion to sleeper album tracks like "My Fathers Gun"and her tongue-in-cheek humor to songs like "Houston." The album will be previewed by the infectious, insistent track of hope "Lonely People," which arrives at radio April 19; it was a Top Five Billboard hit in 1974, originally recorded by America. Weaving the connection between 70's rock and 50's jazz was no leap for JONES. "It is all part of what I heard growing up," says JONES. "The radio played everything! 1960's AM radio was the primordial zone for our musical life today. As a kid I heard R&B, country, rock, and the most sophisticated singer-songwriters of the day forming their genre.Radio was a college education for a budding musician because these songs are all playing on my internal radio all the time, it's not a stretch for me to put them together on an LP. Really, I just love to sing."

KICKS was created entirely in New Orleans, using local musicians, mixers and studios. Produced by RICKIE LEE JONES with her band-mate, vibraphonist Mike Dillion, it features 10 songs of a highly infectious nature. Check out "Nagasaki," her traditional jazz offering of tight three-part harmonies, and "Bad Company," where JONES cuts loose on electric guitar.

The STRAY CATS--all revved up and red hot--have released "Rock It Off," a new song and video from their upcoming album 40, out May 24 via Surfdog Records and distributed by BMG (CD, vinyl, digital). The blazing feel-good song, now available as an instant grat track, is spinning at Spotify and other platforms (listen here at Spotify), and the video can be viewed here. The behind-the-scenes video, capturing the band in the Nashville studio where they recorded the album, was premiered yesterday (April 25) at Billboard with a feature story. Noted the publication: "Four decades later, Stray Cats are ready to 'Rock It Off' with the same three basic ingredients they've always used: Setzer's twangy Gretsch guitar, drummer Slim Jim Phantom's elemental thumping and Lee Rocker's expertly slapped upright bass."

The STRAY CATS recorded 40 at Blackbird Studios in Nashville in late 2018 following their first North American shows in 10 years, with four concerts including sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA before wildly enthusiastic audiences. JOHN LODGE--legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues and recent inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame--is bringing his "10,000 Light Years" solo concert to the "Rock & Romance" Cruise, out of Miami, Feb 15 - 22, 2020. This is a unique opportunity to see JOHN perform his Moody Blues' hits, and some of his solo work, plus a few special treats. "A willingness to experiment with music has been an essential component in the longevity of artists such as Lodge," noted The Express in the UK in a 4/17/19 review of his Cadogan Hall in London.

LODGE will appear with his 10,000 Light Years Band, and together they capture the heart of classic Moody Blues songs he has penned and recorded such as "I'm Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)," "Gemini Dream," "Ride My Seesaw," "Isn't Life Strange," "Steppin' in a Slide Zone," "Peak Hour," "Evening Time' (the latter two from the Days of Future Passed album), and the never-before-played-live, "Candle of Life."

JOHN will also perform songs from his solo album 10,000 Light Years Ago. This album received critical acclaim, and his song, "In My Mind," was nominated for "Anthem of the Year" in Prog Mag. JOHN will also be performing special treats such as "Saved by the Music" from the Blue Jays album, and "Legend of a Mind" dedicated to the recently departed Moody Blues member, Ray Thomas.  This is a not-to-be-missed show full of beautifully crafted songs and fantastic energy.

Joining JOHN onstage are long term collaborator Alan Hewitt (Music Director and Keyboards) and Billy Ashbaugh (Drums) from the Moody Blues touring band, together with Duffy King (Guitars) and Jason Charboneau (Cello), and the "all-American band sizzled on the solo tracks and Moodies' masterpieces," on their recent tour (North Coast Voice).

During his remarkable 52 years with The Moody Blues, LODGE has sold more than 70 million albums including the groundbreaking Days of Future Passed and has composed many of their biggest hits. The album Seventh Sojourn was number 1 at Billboard for 5 weeks, and LODGE wrote both the singles from this album, the high-energy "I'm Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)" and the beautiful and ethereal "Isn't Life Strange."

John has received numerous awards including ASCAP (American Society Of Composers & Publishers) and an Ivor Novello for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and he has been voted one of the 10 most influential bass players on the planet. The Moody Blues were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018, and in 2019, John was inducted into the Birmingham Walk of Fame. The Moody Bluescelebrated the 50th Anniversary of their iconic album Days of Future Passed with a hugely successful tour, including a sold-out performance at the Hollywood Bowl, and the release of their live album Days of Future Passed, Live, which reached the top of US DVD charts. As a member of The Moody Blues since 1966, JOHN LODGE has spent much of his life touring the world, as part of a 'rock n roll band.' His first solo album titled Natural Avenue was released 40 years ago in 1977 but was never performed live.
