On October 8th and 9th, incredible music and breathtaking caves come together to create the first-ever CaveFest. Featuring headlining acts Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Yonder Mountain String Band the inaugural festival will take full advantage of what The Caverns has to offer above and below ground.

One hundred years after the birth of Beat pioneer Jack Kerouac, the Jack Kerouac Estate announces the formation of Sal Paradise Press and a new collaboration with Rare Bird to co-publish a new deluxe hardcover of collected works from Kerouac’s time in isolation, Desolation Peak. Authored by Jack Kerouac and edited by Charles Shuttleworth, Desolation Peak is a posthumous collection for long-time Kerouac fans and newcomers alike.

THE WHITE BUFFALO will return this fall with his eighth studio album titled YEAR OF THE DARK HORSE.

The Oregon-born, Southern California-bred artist has completed the record with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Brothers Osborne, Fidlar) at his Neon Cross studio in Nashville. For THE WHITE BUFFALO, aka singer-songwriter-guitarist JAKE SMITH, it was time to take the less-traveled path and embark on a voyage of discovery.

With his debut full-length album Oh Me, Oh My, Missouri-bred songwriter Forrest McCurren showcases his sharp eye for the little quirks in the world and the people who surround him; a skill that reveals humor bubbling just below the surface of everyday life.

The Haight Street Art Center will open The Secret Path: The Art of Roger and Freyja Dean, an exhibition of original art works by famed UK artists Roger Dean and his daughter Freyja Dean. The Secret Path will immerse visitors in an extraordinary world where life and landscape invoke the splendors of nature through the visionary imagination of the Deans. The exhibition opens August 25 and will close October 30, 2022, before touring to other venues.

Elephant Revival formed in Nederland, Colorado in 2006. They are an eclectic and diverse group of multi-instrumentalists that have combined their creative skills together resulting in some of the coolest musical ideas ever recorded and performed live. All of the members contribute songwriting and vocals, bringing a solid band cohesiveness to their sound. It’s difficult to describe their style as there are so many influences running through the minds and fingers of these talented musicians.

Tea Leaf Green returned to the 8x10 in Baltimore, MD last weekend for the high energy conclusion of their four night east coast stint. They doubled down on another fresh set list and tasty jams, much to their delight of their fans, the Leafers. This band is no stranger to this well known, intimate club, and closed out their run with vigor.

In terms of pure musicianship - the ability to play or sing well, both technically and expressively - the individual members of the Tedeschi Trucks Band are each gifted, seasoned and professional. Some, most obviously Derek Trucks himself, ascend to a level of artistry that transcends mere training and practice. They are accomplished, but more importantly, they are unique, and born to be so.

The inaugural Sacred Rose Fest is less than 2 weeks away. For the first time ever there will be a weekend full of music as diverse as the Grateful Dead in its current form.
