Charleston, SC based synthwave sextet Doom Flamingo kicks off the summer with a new single and music video, “Happy Boi.” The track, an undeniable ear worm, explodes with immediate energy, placing buoyant synths atop affably dissonant guitar and bass. Soaring vocals from vanguard front woman Kanika Moore confidently emerge, employing tasteful falsetto on the caustic refrain, “Wish you’d just move!” “Happy Boi” was recorded and mixed by Matt Zutell (Hootie and the Blowfish, Little Stranger) at Coast Records.

This July 15th & July 16th (716 Day), there’s only one place to be: Cobblestone Live Music & Arts Festival in the Historic Cobblestone District of Downtown Buffalo. This two-day festival takes place from 6pm to 11pm on July 15 and from 1pm to 11pm on July 16 with after parties set at Buffalo Iron Works and Lockhouse Distillery & Bar each night.
